Based on the quantitative analysis of historic private equity statistics, shaPE has developed a model portfolio that builds the basis for the investment strategy. In addition to the diversification across regions and stages of the companies, the portfolio is diversified across industry sectors and vintage years. Within each of the segments of the model portfolio, shaPE identifies a group of fund managers with outstanding track records and strategies. Each of these fund managers is then thoroughly tested during an extensive due diligence. shaPE will invest only in a limited number of private equity funds that have proven to be among the very best within its segment throughout the disciplined implementation of the selection process.
